Original Paintings

Recent Work:

Way of Sorrow

This abstract Stations of the Cross series was originally created for Campbell University, and was hung as a pilgrimage around Butler Chapel during Holy Week, 2023.

Paired with related texts from ancient Biblical books, the 13-painting collection is a visceral and emotive presentation of the Via Dolorosa.

Recent Work:

Solemn Season

This series of 40 paintings was created over 40 days in observance of the liturgical season of Lent, leading up to Easter.

By obfuscating landscape in abstraction, these works allow the viewer to imagine landscape as metaphor—the meeting place of the Divine and the human. They are a response to the lived experience of seeking the precious amidst the mundane, and they invite the viewer toward contemplation and reverence.

Solemn Season Book

Limited quantities available now!

Over the course of Lent in 2022, I launched a successful Kickstarter campaign to publish the Solemn Season book containing actual-size prints of the Solemn Season paintings interspersed with a poetic prayer on the themes of supplication, reliance, prospection, and hope.

The Abstracted Horizon

I’m interested in the horizon as a metaphor—the meeting place of the Divine and the human. My work explores abstraction and landscape as a means of spiritual practice and connection.
